Minoxidil is a fantastic topical solution to help grow facial hair if you are lacking in that department. But what are some other things that help grow a beard in addition to Minoxidil? There’s two that should, I’ll jump into it.

Peppermint Oil

It’s been proven in studies that peppermint mint oil can promote hair growth.

From week 2, Peppermint Extract Oil grew hair more rapidly than SA and Jojoba Oil (JO). At week 3, PEO remarkably promoted hair growth than SA and JO, even greater than Minoxidil (MXD). At week 4, PEO showed hair growth about 92%, whereas MXD about 55%.

What To Take Away From This

When it comes down to it, peppermint oil has shown to do the same and sometimes better than Minoxidil 3% solution.

In conclusion, our experimental data suggest that 3% PEO facilitates hair growth by promoting the conservation of vascularization of hair dermal papilla, which may contribute to the induction of early anagen stage. In addition, PEO effectively stimulated hair growth in an animal model via several mechanisms and thus could be used as a therapeutic or preventive alternative medicine for hair loss in humans.

How To Dilute It To Apply On Face

I wrote an shot a video of how to dilute PEO into Black Castor Oil, you can go right here if you wish to find out how.

 L-Carnitine L-Tartrate

In a few studies it’s shown in both in vitro and in vivo that  L-carnitine L-tartrate can promote hair growth when used topically.

l-Carnitine is essential for the intramitochondrial transport of long-chain fatty acids for β-oxidation [1–3]. Recently, we have shown that l-carnitine-l-tartrate (CT) is able to increase hair shaft elongation and prolong anagen by upregulation of proliferation and downregulation of apoptosis in organ-cultured human scalp hair follicles [4]. In order to test whether CT is also able to stimulate hair growth in human scalp hair follicles (HF) in vivo, we have performed a small, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled observational study of topical CT administration over 6 months twice a day.

How To Use L -Carnitine L-Tartrate In Minoxidil Beard Routine

Rather easy, you need to incorporate it into the Minxoidil bottle at 2%. To find what 2% of the bottle of Minoxidil is, you must do a simple calculation.

To make it easier for you, since majority of Minoxidil bottles are 60mL, that’s what we will use.

60mL bottle of Minoxidil = 1.2 Grams of LCLT added into it. Don’t add more, or less. More will not do anything beneficial for you.

If you have any other additions you can add, let me know in the comments. We can look into it in detail and see if it holds any merit.
