Peppermint oil has been shown to stimulate hair growth when using 3% solutions. Jamaican Black Castor Oil has been used by many on their hair and beard, though there is no study to prove that it works, there’s tons of anecdotal evidence if you’re a fan of that. I know some aren’t, but that’s up to you. You need an oil that you can dilute with peppermint oil because putting for many putting pure peppermint oil is rather strong, and some are just not fans of such strong smells around their face.

So if you are wondering where to buy any of these products, you can find them below. It’s what I use, they work well for me. It came out to around 10 dollars altogether so, that’s rather nice.

For that, it was rather simple. Just find out what the amount the JBCO holds in the bottle, which in my case is 2 FL OZ. That’s 56.70 grams converted, so 3% of 56.70 is 1.7 grams. I rounded it up to 2, because why not. So I got my 0.01 scale out, and add 2 grams of peppermint oil into the mix. Then proceeded to shake it violently. If you are a better learned by watching something, here is a video of it.

Of course, here is the study that shows that peppermint oil is a good topical solution that promotes hair growth.

Of course you need to infuse it into another oil, they made the solution 3% so, that’s what I have been doing myself. If you want to do more, do more. It is rather pungent of a smell. If you don’t like strong peppermint smells, I wouldn’t do it. But it doesn’t bother me.

The results are great, of course, it’s all anecdotal that JBCO is good stuff for the beard and hair, so if you’re a fan of that, there’s that. You can check out posts on the subreddit about it, many have had good success over on:
